1. What is Altruista Health's positioning, and name 2-3 firms in your competitive set?
Altruista Health, Inc. provides highly patient-centric and customizable total population disease management technology and solutions to commercial and government health payers, hospitals and employers in order to streamline clinical and administrative processes, improve patient outcomes and reduce avoidable healthcare costs.
Altruista Health completed its first round of funding shortly after inception and is currently seeking investors for its second round.
3. Tell us about GuidingCare-- how does it work, and what problem does it solve?
GuidingCare is a web-based, user-friendly, integrated predictive modeling and disease management platform with an interactive suite of tools to help manage health concerns among individuals either at risk for, or suffering from a broad array of physical health, behavioral health and social support challenges. GuidingCare is highly flexible and customizable and allows the end-user to input their own decision support guides and care opportunity indicators with no IT support. It is a perfect match for a wide range of organizations that have a mission and mandate to help lead their constituents and members to better health.
GuidingCare is also used in creating customizable environments for the exchange of healthcare data as it relates to disease management. The platform accepts data in many different formats and easily integrates with health IT applications facilitating creation of an information exchange.
4. Is your distribution approach direct-to-consumer, via partners, or both?
Our distribution is via sales of technology and services to businesses including commercial and government health payers, third party administrators, hospitals and employers as well as to various technology and service partners in the healthcare industry.
5. What's coming next from AH?
In the short term, Altruista Health continues to focus on adding value to its healthcare clients and improving health outcomes for patients through the use of its core technology. In addition, Altruista Health will integrate its next generation of behavioral profiling tools that allow for real-time customization in care delivery based on varying personality profiles.
Over the long term, Altruista stands committed to enhancing the features and functionality of its core platform so that it continues to be the solution that customers adopt for their population disease management needs.
