Here we interview Brad Burns, Senior VP of Corporate Communications for Washington, D.C.-based Revolution Health.

RH is making all the right moves in eHealth, especially in the booming Community space, and are monetizing maximally with the Revolution Health Network.

Their Description: Revolution Health Group is a leading consumer-centric health company founded to transform how people approach their overall health and wellness. By putting individuals at the center of their own healthcare, Revolution Health allows them to make informed choices and offers more convenience and control over their individual healthcare decisions.

1. We consider CarePages the smartest acquisition in eHealth history— can you tell us how it has performed since you acquired it, and what integration points there are with your other properties?

ANSWER: We obviously agree that CarePages was a great addition to the Revolution Health family. It falls directly in line with our mission to provide people with better choice, control and convenience in their lives. Also, CarePages, perhaps better than any company, brings much-needed humanity to the industry.

CarePages has continued to thrive as part of Revolution Health. It now provides service to more than 700 hospitals and we expect its expanding presence to continue. Since we acquired the company about a year ago we have kept it as a free-standing entity. Over time there will likely be opportunities to integrate certain points of it into the broader Revolution Health.

2. What do you have ongoing or planned in the PHR space?

ANSWER: Today we offer a free PHR on RevolutionHealth.com where users can securely store their health information on our site. Users can send us their medical records we’ll digitize it and post it for them.

We expect to roll out new and improved PHR features over the coming months.

3. What is the status of your Medco alliance?

ANSWER: Our alliance continues to make progress. We are working on new products that we expect to roll out later this year.

4. You’re now driving more pageviews than WebMD (and everyone else in eHealth). How are you driving this traffic, in terms of organic and paid search, partners, etc.?

ANSWER: We are certainly proud of the fact that there has been so much interest in Revolution Health Network since our launch a year ago. We have placed an emphasis on a wide variety of marketing initiatives, each of which has played a role in our growth. And our partnerships with a number of for- and non-profit organizations has added a significant amount of breadth and depth to our reach.

5. What’s the status of RHN, and what are your future plans here?

ANSWER: Revolution Health Network has become one of the leading online health destinations in just a year’s time. With RevolutionHealth.com as our flagship property, the addition of CarePages.com, HealthTalk.com and our alliances with drugstore.com and SparkPeople.com has created a network that engages and empowers consumers on multiple levels to live a better life. It’s that engagement and empowerment that we believe distinguishes Revolution Health Network.

Over the coming year you’ll continue to see RHN dynamically progress in ways that draws in more and more people and becomes a place where they go not only for information when they are sick but maybe even every day to better manage their health and healthcare.
