eHealth Audiences

Two online health properties that sprang on the scene in 2007-08, garnering large audiences, have settled down, and now must navigate a decline in online ad spending:

In late 2008 WebMD had an agreement to acquire QualityHealth, but the deal was cancelled. And in the same approximate timeframe, Everyday Health (Waterfront Media) merged with Steve Case's Revolution Health.

Meanwhile, due to Swine Flu, CDC.gov has surged to 5.7 million uniques/month in April of 2009 per comScore. And the only pure play in eHealth in the Top 50 Web Properties in April-09 remains WebMD, logging 21.6 million uniques.
